The name of our church, Immanuel, means
“God with us” recalling Jesus’ words of promise
in Matthew 18:20 to be with those who gather in His name.
As Pastor of Immanuel let me introduce you to our church, our history, and God’s work that is happening here presently. In John 5:17 Jesus says, “My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I too am working.” We stand in awe to see how God has worked in many lives through Immanuel since it was founded in 1938, and continues to work in lives until this present day. It is a privilege for us to come alongside and join Him in His work. We are a small congregation, whose doors are open to all who are longing to worship God, our Father, “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,” and “walk in the Spirit.” Our focus is on the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, prayer, fellowship together, and reaching out to our communities and countries around the world.
Enjoy your exploration of our website, we would love to have you join us in person.
Our logo was created by Teresa Crow. She visited Immanuel Lutheran, heard the heartbeat of the people, experienced the love which was so apparent – love for each other and love for new people coming into the church- and knew a heart signifying love would encompass the logo.
The beautiful scene inside the heart has a cross at the forefront because what happened there, the death of our Lord, who was our perfect sacrificial Lamb, bought salvation for all who would receive.
The sun, bursting out of the heart, signifies the light of the Son, Jesus Christ shining through the lives of the people as they bring the light of Jesus out into the world and share the love of God with others. The beautiful green is indicative of ‘New Life in Christ’ as one submits to His Lordship, until He comes again.
