In the face of the destruction and loss in our community from the Eaton fire, we want to be available to care for the needs of those in our congregation and our broader community who have been affected.
At our church building (128 S. Oak Knoll Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101), we have items that have been donated which are available to those who could use them: cases of bottled water, blankets, non-perishable food, and toiletries.
For those who would like to give financially to our church for our relief efforts, you can go to our Online Giving page, click the link there, which will bring you to our giving page on Tithe.ly and you can select “Good Samaritan Fire Relief” as the fund from the drop-down menu. These funds will be given directly to families and individuals who have lost their homes in the Eaton fire. You can also mail a check to our church, made out to “Immanuel Lutheran Church” with “Fire Relief” in the memo line (mail to: 128 S. Oak Knoll Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101).
We also have an Eaton Fire Needs and Resources form that anyone can fill out who has particular needs in our community, or who would like to volunteer help or resources: Eaton Fire Needs and Resources Form
Thank you for supporting the work of relief and recovery in our community, as we seek to show the love of Jesus in tangible ways to those who are hurting.

Start 2025 by joining us for 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. From January 1st – 21st, fast from one meal per day (any meal) and instead, spend that time reading God’s Word and in prayer. Think about asking God for two things over these 21 days: 1) For God to act in your life in a particular way; 2) For God to act in our church in a particular way. To lead you into your time of prayer, read a chapter from the Gospel of John each day over these 21 days as well.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
-Philippians 4:6-7
From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth— He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
-Psalm 33:13-15, 18-22

– focusing on our hope in Christ, the Great Physician

When: Sunday April 22nd (Sunday) at 5 PM
Where: CrossPoint Christian Church
Cost: Free, tickets required
Why: Join us on Sunday, April 22 at 5 p.m. for a conversation on “Hope and Healing for Anxiety and Depression – focusing on our hope in Christ, the Great Physician” with Pastor Larry Olson from Immanuel Church in Pasadena, CA.
It’s no secret that millions suffer from mental health issues and Christians are no exception. How should the church and Christians deal with mental health issues? Generally the churches are reluctant to talk about mental illnesses or when we do, it’s a response to an incident and then the conversation stops. How can the church offer the hope of Christ to those suffering in our churches?
Come and hear Pastor Olson talk about his own experience with depression and what families and churches can do to help those struggling with mental health issues.
Questions? Contact CrossPoint Christian Church (562) 698-2597
